Prospective Graduate Students

Today’s complex social problems demand interdisciplinary and transformative research, and the Department of Criminology, Law and Society is meeting those challenges with groundbreaking research that fosters informed social action. Students in our top-ranked programs learn from renowned faculty who are committed to promoting equity and justice both locally and globally. Our research focuses on ramifications of crime and law, including why society chooses the laws it does, why the law has unintended consequences, who violates the law and why, and how communities respond to crime.

Students in our programs have numerous opportunities to learn and pursue their specific areas of interest. We offer two online master’s programs, a Ph.D. degree and a concurrent J.D. degree.  Click below to learn more about our programs.
