Professor Henry Pontell has been named the 2013-2014 recipient of the Daniel G. Aldrich Jr. Distinguished University Service Award. The award is conferred by the Senate on those who, in addition to achieving with distinction their scholarly pursuits, have nonetheless made sustained and outstanding contributions through service to the University. It is among the most prestigious awards University of California faculty members can receive from their colleagues.
