The Master of Advanced Study (MAS) in Criminology, Law and Society celebrated its tenth year anniversary. The program is a model since higher education is more fiscally endangered than it has ever been. MAS began with a $450,000 loan for development costs associated with the online program. Henry Pontell, Professor of Criminology, Law and Society and Director of MAS, said the loan, which was given by the Executive Vice Chancellor's Office, saved the program "millions of dollars."
