The Diversity committee in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at UC Irvine invites you to its second annual Social Justice Research Symposium, which will be held at UCI on Friday, May 19, 2017. We are inviting highly motivated undergraduates, particularly those underrepresented in social science and humanities doctoral programs, with interests in researching social justice topics to present their research and gain hands-on advice about applying to graduate school. Our faculty and graduate students, as part of an ongoing effort to recruit and diversity outstanding undergraduate researchers to consider our Ph.D. program, will be available that day to provide feedback on research and applications, present their own social justice-related projects, and acclimate students to opportunities available at UCI. Interested in attending as a non-presenter? We encourage students at all stages of their academic careers to attend. Space is limited so RSVP early. You will be notified about your secure spot in late April.
